Jochen has spent the last 15 years focusing on Portfolio and Project Management and the application of the RUP and Agile methods to these processes. He has written and published two books, Agile Portfolio Management (Microsoft Press 2008) and The Rational Unified Process-Reference and Certification Guide (Pearson 2007).

Jochen founded the New York City chapter of the Agile Project Leadership Network (APLN) in 2006. Jochen has led some of the most visible projects in Agile and Scrum adoption including the adoption of Scrum at AOL. In this technology adoption transformation Jochen impacted over 100 agile teams and touched the daily lives of 3000 AOL employee’s. As the coach, trainer and practitioner he worked as the Scrum Master, Product Owner and Guide for entire project teams to bring about successful transitions.

In addition Jochen finds time to do speaking engagements, most recently at the APLN in Boston and upcoming at the PMI meeting for White Plains New York. He can also be downloaded on iTunes on the Agile Toolkit podcast series from the 2007  and 2008 Agile conferences.
